Lady Gerri Drummond Awarded "2014 National Junior Daughter Counselor of the Year"

 

At the recent 2014 National Convention of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary, the award for “National Junior Daughter Counselor of the Year” was given to Lady Geralyn Drummond. Lady Geralyn is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Court #379, St. Peter Claver, Tampa. The award is given annually to one Counselor  who has demonstrated great leadership ability.  Now in her second year as Counselor for the Junior Daughters of St. Monica Court #379, Lady Geralyn has worked to encourage participation in the local organization, preparing the young ladies to participate in the regional and national conferences, reinforced their commitment to the Catholic faith and participation in the liturgy, led fund-raisers for their participation in activities, and increased the membership in the Junior Daughters to the point that the Court also received the First Place Expansion Award for the Gulf Coast region. Under her leadership and direction, St. Monica Court #379 also received the “Court of the Year” Award at the Gulf Coast District Conference in May 2014. The unit continued it's growth with another initiation on August 16, 2014. Lady Gerri Drummond is a member of St. Peter Claver parish in Tampa where she serves as Youth Minister and Confirmation catechist. She is also a 2010 graduate of the Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
